"The reporting "profession" is based on unbiased reporting techniques that simply log events in an interesting and orderly manner. For ANY reporter or editor to fabricate information and actually pretend that it is news is NOT A PROFESSIONAL.... The individuals responsible should be fired with cause." 'R T', Saint John. "How could unsubstantiated facts ... have made it to publication? ... Where did this story come from to begin with? There has been so much public debate and criticisms over this, [which is] what I consider to be public tarring and feathering and the disreputable conduct of everyone, except the Prime Minister." "Canadians have suspected for a long time that the media is biased. This flap over the wafer and the subsequent apology simply confirms those suspicions. The media is no longer content to report factual, accurate information to the public.... The editors of this paper who were responsible for inserting political bias into the news report should be removed. They have hurt the credibility of the reporters and maligned the reputation of the newspaper. All of this pales in comparison to the ridicule the PM of this country endured at the hands of a media who is consumed with pack-like journalism. So sad, so sad that this is what journalism has become in the 21st century." 'Trust is earned', Saint John. Posted on 28/07/09
"It looks like the Liberals may have indeed been involved, in an attempt to drive a wedge between Catholics and the Prime Minister ... and embarrass the Prime Minister before his meeting with the Pope. I wonder how long this has been going on? I wonder how many other "non-stories" about Stephen Harper have been planted in various news outlets just to win a few more votes? 'Jason', Moncton.
